Hello, I'm Shehan and I'm a User Experience Designer based in Sri Lanka. Designing digital products that achieve a harmonious balance between user satisfaction, business objectives, and product requirements is a passion of mine. By prioritizing user needs, fostering collaboration among diverse team members, and using data-driven insights, I strive to create effective and user-friendly interfaces that meet business goals and user expectations.
I started my Design journey when I received the opportunity to attend the University of Moratuwa, to pursue the Honors Degree of Bachelor of Design specializing in Media and Communication Design, where I learned and practised User Experience and User Interface Design. My passion for Human Centered Design and Visual storytelling drove me to pursue a career in UX design. I also completed my freshman year at SLIIT, Faculty of Computing following B.Sc (Hons) in Information Technology. This exposed me to learn and practice web development, business aspects, programming basics and many other technical aspects that give me the confidence to work with Developers, Business Analysts and other cross-functional teams.
I joined Antyra Solutions, a Digital Marketing Agency in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka as a Creative Services Intern to complete my Industrial training. Currently, I work with Ideahub, a Software Company in Colombo as a UX Designer to design user experiences for fintech products, serving clients such as HNB, DFCC, and Dialog Finance. I also work as a Freelance Designer collaborating with foreign brands such as Tennis Shop - Saudi Arabia, Johnny Velvet - USA, Vida Fusions - Bermuda and many more in crafting their digital products.
